On October 10, 1916, 36-year-old homemaker Degna Marozzi Felicelli of W. Grand Avenue in Chicago died from an apparent criminal abortion.

Dr. A. E. Bertling and Dr. A. W. Claggett were cleared, though I have been unable to determine whether it is because the coroner concluded that Degnia hadn't actually died from a criminal abortion or because Bertling and Claggett were cleared as possible perpetrators.
